Scientific Director and Committee

Professor Vincent Larivière has been acting as Érudit’s scientific director since April 2015. As such, Prof. Larivière takes part in planning Érudit’s main strategic approaches and acts as a spokesperson for the organization in the academic community. He also contributes to the conversation around the issues that affect scholarly journals, namely open access and support to the French-language dissemination of research results.

Vincent Larivière is an expert on the new modes of research dissemination and holds the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication at the Université de Montréal. He is Assistant Professor at the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information and Deputee Scientific Director of the Observatoire des sciences et des technologies.
